Working to preserve the natural integrity of Brushy Hills
for the benefit of the public
for the benefit of the public
The Friends are a group of volunteers who maintain trails and signs, sponsor public outings, and monitor forest health. Volunteers have also installed a hand-crafted information kiosk and produced a trail map. Our project to identify invasive non-native plants and to curb their growth has allowed native plants to fill in the gaps.
The Friends started with the support of Rockbridge Conservation. The Friends act as Stewards of the Preserve by agreement with the City of Lexington.
The Friends Board of Directors consists of citizens of Lexington and Rockbridge County. Contact the Friends at [email protected]
